Every year, a group of Scottish teenagers who feel unseen - bullied, isolated, struggling to cope - are selected for something extraordinary: a year of brutal physical training culminating in a polar expedition. The expedition, whether Finland or Greenland's storms, is the culmination, not the point. What the film really tracks is one transformation happening in different registers at once: invisible kids learning how to be seen.
